Matthew Chapter 28 Armaic Peshitta New Testament Translation

•    1 Now in the evening of the Sabbath, as it was twilight [on] the first of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the grave.

•    2 And behold, a great earthquake occurred, for an angel of the LORD came down from heaven and came near [and] rolled the stone from the opening and he was sitting on it.

•    3 And his appearance was like lightning and his clothes were white like snow.

•    4 And those who were watching, trembled with fear of him and became like dead [men].

•    5 Now the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not fear, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

•    6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place in which our Lord was laid.

•    7 And go quickly [and] tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, [he goes] before you to Galilee. There you will see him. Behold, I have told you.”

•    8 And they went away quickly from the grave with fear and with great joy and ran to tell his disciples.

•    9 And behold, Jesus met up with them and said to them, “Peace to you.” And they came near [and] clasped his feet and worshipped him.

•    10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not fear! But go [and] tell my brothers that they should go to Galilee and there they will see me.”

•    11 Now when they had gone, some of those soldiers came to the city and told the chief priests everything that had occurred.

•    12 And they were gathered with the elders and took counsel and gave no little money to the soldiers

•    13 and said to them, “Say that his disciples came [and] stole him in the night while we were asleep.”

•    14 And if this is heard before the governor, we will persuade him and we will not make trouble for you.”

•    15 Now they, when they had received the money, did as they had instructed them. And this report has gone out among the Judeans up to today.

•    16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee to the mountain where Jesus had arranged [for] them to meet.

•    17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him. But some of them were doubting.

•    18 And Jesus came near [and] spoke with them and said to them, “All authority is given to me in heaven and on earth. And as my Father sent me, I send you.

•    19 Go, therefore, disciple all nations and baptize them in the name [of] the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

•    20 And teach them to keep all that I commanded you. And behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world.” Amen.
